Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct applies to everyone using Nearli—including Members and Providers—and helps ensure a safe, respectful, and reliable experience. By using Nearli, you agree to follow these guidelines in all messages, bookings, and in-person interactions.

Eligibility and Age Requirement

Nearli is intended for use by adults only. All users—both Members and Providers—must be at least 18 years old to create an account, post a listing, or book services through the platform.

Accounts found to be used by individuals under 18 may be suspended or removed.

Our Standards

Be respectful and professional
Treat others with respect. Communicate clearly, be on time, and act professionally in all interactions on and off the platform.

Be honest and transparent
Use accurate information in your profile and communications. Do not misrepresent your identity, qualifications, pricing, availability, or the services you offer.

Keep communication clear
Use Nearli messaging for planning and logistics whenever possible. Be direct, courteous, and responsive.

Safety and Boundaries

Safety comes first
Nearli is for in-person services. Both parties should prioritize safety and use good judgment when meeting.

  • Meet in agreed-upon locations suitable for the service
  • Follow any relevant safety practices for the service being performed
  • Stop a session if you feel unsafe and contact Nearli support if needed

Respect personal boundaries
No harassment, intimidation, unwanted contact, or inappropriate behavior—online or in person. This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Sexual harassment or unwanted advances
  • Threats, coercion, stalking, or aggressive behavior
  • Discriminatory or degrading comments
  • Pressuring someone to share personal information or meet outside the agreed session purpose

Respect privacy
Do not share another user’s personal information without permission. Do not record sessions without clear consent from all parties.

Non-Discrimination

Nearli is committed to fair, respectful treatment. Discrimination or harassment based on protected characteristics is not allowed, including race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age, where protected by law. Providers and members must not refuse service, alter pricing, or treat others differently based on protected status.

Appropriate Use of the Platform

No off-platform payment requests
To maintain safety, accountability, and support, do not pressure others to pay outside Nearli. Attempting to move payment off-platform will result in removal.

No solicitation or spam
Do not use Nearli to send spam, run unrelated promotions, recruit for unrelated services, or solicit contact for non-Nearli transactions.

No illegal or unsafe services
Nearli does not allow services that are illegal, unsafe, or involve prohibited activity. Providers must comply with applicable laws, permits, certifications, and local requirements.

Pricing, Cancellations, and Reliability

Honor agreed pricing
Providers must honor the pricing and session terms listed and confirmed through Nearli. Members should not pressure providers into changing pricing after booking.

Show up prepared and on time
Reliability matters. Repeated no-shows, late arrivals, or last-minute cancellations without valid reason may lead to account restrictions.

Be clear about cancellations and changes
If plans change, communicate as early as possible through Nearli messaging. Be respectful of each other’s time.

Reporting Concerns

If something feels unsafe or violates this Code of Conduct:

  • End the interaction if needed
  • Use Nearli messaging to document concerns when appropriate
  • Contact Nearli support as soon as possible Nearli may request additional information to review a report.

Enforcement

Violations of this Code of Conduct will result in actions including:

  • Warnings
  • Listing removal
  • Permanent removal from the Nearli platform Nearli will act quickly in situations involving safety concerns, harassment, fraud, discrimination, or repeated unreliable behavior.
